THE DISTANCE MEASURED IS WRONG

The quality of satellite reception is affected by the environment and movement.

The principle of GPS: The Global Positioning System
(GPS) - and soon the European Galileo system - lets you know to within a few metres a location on Earth, at sea or in the air.To know its position, a GPS must evaluate
the time taken by the electromagnetic signals from 4 satellites in the system to reach it: it simultaneously deduces the three space coordinates of its position and the exact time.

To facilitate reception, it is recommended, wherever possible, to follow these good practices:

1/ Before the start of the session:
- Stand in an open area away from buildings and avoid standing under trees.
- Turn on the product and run a GPS signal search.
- The watch must remain still for signal detection (from 5 seconds to 2 minutes).So you should wait for the GPS signal to be detected (pictogram on the phone’s status bar) before setting off.
- To optimise the search, place the watch on the ground to avoid interference with the body.

2/ During the session:
- Don’t put the phone at the bottom of your bag.Point the screen outwards.
- If the distance measured is 0, it means the phone hasn’t found the GPS signal.
- Check that your app is not configured for an indoor sport.To save the battery and not give a false distance value, the GPS automatically shuts off for indoors sports.
